Something that wasn't all that well covered in the media last month was that Patrick Dempsey, star of Grey's Anatomy helped represent Children's Hospital on Team Seattle.
I heard about this over coffee with James Dillon the other day (the owner of the famous Swinery Meats in West Seattle), who helped organize the event.
They raised nearly $300,000 for the Hospital from the race.

My new favorite general Seattle publication is the Seattleite. Last night I sat down for coffee with the Publisher Jane Yuan, and talked about her vision for the publication. Being only 8 weeks old, its still in the early start up pages, but already they have captured the energy of the younger, more urban centered generation of Seattle. Those who are highly cultured and greatly motivated for faster growth and greater innovation.
One of the features I love the most is theeir Culture+Society section, highlighting the people of Seattle, and making the readers feel an sense of ownership in the publication.
I'm excited to see where this publication goes and defiantly encourage everyone to keep a close eye on it.
